A Defending Crusader…

The best defense is to be good and offensive…or something like that.

This is a poem my 13-year-old daughter wrote one night while she couldn’t sleep.  The words kept playing themselves in her head.

It’s not Shakespeare, but I love it.

Let go of your body.
Hold on to your heart.
Let Him take your suffering,
Lest it ear you apart
Let go of your helplessness,
pain and chagrin.
Open that hear of yours,
Let Him come in!
The Lord God Almighty,
A Bright Shining Lamp!
In the night and the darkness
He’ll be your Champ!
To fight for your freedom,
consider it done!
The darkness, repelled,
The war is won!

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
