I’m disgusted too.
But check out the last two paragraphs of this essay by a supposed conservative. What tripe!
Conservatives and Republicans — the two groups don’t always intersect — are shooting themselves in the foot these days.

In other words, it’s better to do SOMETHING, ANYTHING, no matter how seriously negative the potential consequences, than to take the time to fully analyze the situation in order to take the CORRECT action. And of course, government
interventionmeddling has always fostered innovation…but usually in the sense of circumventing draconian legislation.Impeccably woeful logic on the part of Mr. Gerson.
